Coco Gauff Takes Pride in Joining Serena Williams, Andre Agassi and Venus Williams in Spotlight for Famous Game Show…
Ever since winning her maiden Grand Slam title last year, Coco Gauff has won everyone’s hearts with some glorious performances on the court. She has been in the news since then and is one of the most talked-about players on the tennis circuit. Additionally, she is often compared to legends of the game like Serena Williams. Recently, she emulated some big names in the sport, like the Williams sisters and Andre Agassi.
Apart from her on-court adventures, Gauff is also venturing into off-court activities and growing her portfolio. She will be proud of her recent achievement, having matched Serena Williams and Venus Williams.
Recently, the American tennis sensation was in the spotlight at Jeopardy, a famous game show. Featuring Andrew, Victoria, and Amy , an interesting question about Gauff bumped. It read, “We’re cuckoo for this woman, who defeated Venus Williams at age 15 & later won the U.S. Open.”
Victoria correctly answered the question, as it was Gauff who defeated the elder Williams sister at the age of just 15. The American sensation was in awe of the spotlight in Jeopardy, as she took to her official Instagram handle to share a glimpse of it. Additionally, she wrote, “Bahahahha this is cool @jeopardy. Alright perioddd Ms. Victoria she clicked with the quickness.”
This is not the first time a tennis player has been in the spotlight on this show. While the Williams sisters were mentioned on the show last year, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf came to the spotlight in Jeopardy this year.
When Venus Williams beamed with pride over Jeopardy appearance
In December last year, the Williams sisters were mentioned via a special category on the popular gaming show. The exclusive category was titled ‘Tennis-Y Williams’ and was dedicated to Serena and Venus Williams. The elder Williams sister was thrilled at this special mention and posted a story on her official Instagram handle about the same.
She said, “My new favorite @jeopardy category,” in the caption of the story and also shared a glimpse of the new category. Meanwhile, Gauff’s latest mention in Jeopardy is further proof that her popularity is growing day by day.
While her performances have drawn parallels with those of the Williams sisters, she is also following them in off-court activities. Indeed, she is one to look out for as far as the future of American tennis is concerned.
