Mandy Rose’s Former Partner Returns to NXT After Almost a Decade
Tonight, the WWE held their latest edition of NXT Battleground at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show featured six matches, with five of them being title bouts. The event surely was a spectacle to watch, with intense spots, well-written storylines, and some twists that no one saw coming.
And one major surprise was the return of a former WWE superstar. As TNA superstar Ash by Elegance, FKA Dana Brooke made an appearance that surely no one saw coming. However, the surprise also suffered some hiccups. What transpired at the Battleground? Let’s find out.
TNA x NXT continues further with another major appearance
TNA and NXT continued their ongoing trend of crossovers as Ash by Elegance appeared tonight to stop Tatum Paxley from stealing away the TNA Knockouts Championship during the matchup between TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace and WWE NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez. However, Mandy Rose’s former partner suffered the ignominy of being laid out by the Knockouts champion. But what might’ve spoiled the entrance for Ash by Elegance was when the commentary team’s Vic Joseph botched her name by calling her ‘Dana’ rather than Ash by Elegance, which is her TNA name.
But one thing is for sure: the return truly hyped up the fans. Proving that despite being laid off back in September following the WWE-UFC merger, the former Dana Brooke has surely made a name for herself in TNA. She continued the form that she was in during her NXT run. She had assumed a central role during her time in the Black and Gold brand. It would be interesting to see if we get to see more crossovers between the two promotions again. However, if they do, fans would surely love to see a matchup between Tiffany Stratton and Ash by Elegance. Especially after what the former Dana Brooke said about Tiffany Stratton’s time.
