Tyson, the boxing great, was featured in an episode of the video podcast series “Good Trouble with Nick Kyrgios,” released in May. Kyrgios asked Tyson if he would be able to keep his cool and stay quiet when his daughter plays at Grand Slams. In response, Tyson stated that he wouldn’t be quiet and that they’d have to kick him out, especially if someone says something he considers disrespectful to his daughter.
“I am not going to be quiet, they are gonna be kicking me out. I am proud and ferocious out there when my daughter is playing I want to fight when she fights, especially when someone says something that I may consider disrespectful,” Tyson said
Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf also shared their approach to parenting in an interview with The Sunday Mail in 2011. In the interview, the couple clarified that they let their kids pursue their interests instead of introducing them to tennis.
“Jaz plays a little bit of tennis, Jaden not so much. We never really introduced tennis so much into their lives. They’ve chosen other things that we were surprised with,” Graff said.
“We just wanted our children to choose as they see fit and to then make sure their days reflect the things they claim to care about. Because doing something a little bit is not the deal,” Andre Agassi said.
Agassi retired in 2006, while Steffi Graf retired in 1999. However, they still actively follow tennis. Mike Tyson, on the other hand, retired in 2005 and is set to make a return to boxing in November 2024, when he faces Jake Paul.
