Andre Agassi sends his love to wife Steffi Graf after spotting German icon’s portrait at US Open

Andre Agassi recently expressed admiration for his wife, Steffi Graf, after coming across her portrait at the US Open. Graf has won five US Open titles in her career.
Graf is regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time, having won 22 singles Grand Slam titles and one doubles title in her career. She was also ranked World No.1 and holds numerous accolades, including being the only tennis player to accomplish the Golden Slam by winning all four Grand Slam singles titles and the Olympic gold medal in the same year – in 1988.Ahead of the 2024 US Open, Andre Agassi, who won the New York Slam in 1994 and 1999, visited the stadium where this year’s matches will take place. While there, he came across a portrait of Steffi Graf competing at the US Open and shared the image on social media with a red heart emoji.

Throughout her career, Graf has claimed five US Open titles. Her first American Slam title came in 1988 when she defeated Gabriela Sabatini in the final. She successfully defended her title in 1989 by defeating Martina Navratilova in the summit clash.
In 1993, Graf secured her third US Open title by triumphing over Helena Sukova in the final. She went on to win her fourth and fifth US Open titles in 1995 and 1996 by defeating Monica Seles on both occasions.

Steffi Graf won her fifth & final US Open title in 1996. She was the top seed in the tournament and was also the defending champion.
Graf began her campaign by defeating Yayuk Basuki 6-3, 7-6 and Karin Kschwendt 6-2, 6-1 in the first and second rounds respectively. She then overcame Natasha Zvereva 6-4, 6-2 in the third round and qualifier Anna Kournikova 6-2, 6-1 in the fourth.In the quarterfinal, the former World No.1 faced off against Judith Wiesner and emerged victorious with a 7-5, 6-3 scoreline. She then registered a 7-5, 6-3 win over 16th seed Martina Hingis in the semifinal to secure her place in the final.In the summit clash, Steffi Graf defeated second seed Monica Seles 7-5, 6-4 to successfully defend her title and claim her fifth and final US Open title. This victory marked the German tennis icon’s 21st Grand Slam title overall.
